Program Objectives:

  1. Identify the outcomes and best practices in improving business results through applying a performance improvement process.
  2. Examine the contributions of performance improvement partners in knowledge management, human resources, training, six sigma and systems re-engineering to producing complete performance solutions for clients/sponsors.
  3. Prepare an action plan on next steps in applying the HPI process to generate business results.

Abstract:

This fast-paced performance-based workshop is designed to identify the critical outcomes and best practices produced from a performance improvement process needed to deliver solutions for return-on-investment (ROI). A critical success factor for performance improvement practitioners is the delivery of complete performance solutions that blend learning and workplace actions for individual and organizational results. Designing and delivering complete performance solutions for sustainable ROI requires applying a systematic process of partnering with clients and performance improvement practitioners, analysis of goals, gaps and root causes, design and implementation of complete performance solutions, and the evaluation of results using a performance scorecard. Enterprise and business unit performance problems are complex and require new processes, tools, and capabilities for staff departments to add value. There is no one staff department within organizations with all of the capabilities or deliverables needed to achieve client results when dealing with these complex business issues. Participants in human resources, knowledge management, learning and development, six sigma, and performance improvement will learn and apply performance improvement best practices in exercises and activities. The best practices will give participants a starting point for identifying opportunities to support ever-increasing expectations on the cost-benefit of deliverables to the client.
